DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Duke is giving freshman R.J. Barrett a homecoming trip this summer.
School spokesman Mike DeGeorge said Wednesday that the Blue Devils will head north of the border to play a three-game exhibition series in August.
Duke will play two games in Barrett’s hometown of Mississauga, Ontario, facing Ryerson on Aug. 15 and the University of Toronto two days later. The Blue Devils also will play McGill on Aug. 19 in Montreal.
Barrett is a key member of Duke’s latest crop of potential one-and-done players. The small forward played his senior season in high school at Montverde Academy in Florida.
