(STATS) – Abilene Christian will seek to build off its first winning season on the FCS level during a 12-game schedule this year.
The Wildcats, who were 6-5 in coach Adam Dorrel’s second season, will open and close the new campaign against FBS opponents in North Texas (Aug. 31) and Mississippi State (Nov. 23), respectively. In between, they’ll seek to contend in the Southland Conference, where they’ll play five home games: McNeese (Sept. 21), Houston Baptist (Oct. 12), Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 19), Sam Houston State (Nov. 9) and Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 16).
Quarterback Luke Anthony will lead a potentially explosive offense and Abilene Christian’s defense is returning 10 starters.
