Bryant sets Merritt”s first schedule

(STATS) – Bryant will play half of its 12 games at home as part of first-year coach Chris Merritt’s first season in 2019.

Merritt was hired as the fourth coach in program history on Dec. 20. The Bulldogs finished 6-5 last season.

Bryant will host Fordham (Sept. 14) and intrastate rival Brown (Sept. 21) in nonconference action and Saint Francis (Sept. 28), Long Island (Oct. 12), Sacred Heart (Nov. 2) and Duquesne (Nov. 16) within the Northeast Conference.

The Bulldogs kick off the Merritt era at Stony Brook on Aug. 31 – just their second opener on a Thursday.
