Doss earns Senior Bowl sticker, plus accoladesBy CRAIG HALEY

(STATS) – North coach Jon Gruden was handing out Oakland Raiders helmet stickers to his team’s standouts during the 70th annual Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday.

The one Gruden plastered across wide receiver Keelan Doss’ shiny UC Davis helmet was well-deserved.

The two-time first-team STATS All-American capped an impressive week at college football’s premier all-star game with four receptions for 55 yards as the North beat the South 34-18 at Ladd-Peoples Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

Included was one of the game’s top catches: a full-out dive for a 15-yard reception and first down.

“I love that he is a precise route-runner, his ability to get in and out of breaks,” NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks said. “He’s been the most impressive wide receiver when it comes to just running routes and doing the things that you expect an NFL wide receiver to do.”

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound Doss is considered a mid-round prospect for the NFL Draft, to be held April 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee. A slot receiver in the Cooper Kupp mold out of the Big Sky Conference, Doss caught 233 passes for 2,833 yards and 16 touchdowns over his final two seasons.
