JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Florida linebacker Jarrad Davis, the team’s leading tackler and defensive leader, is playing against rival Georgia.
Davis ”badly sprained” his left ankle against Missouri on Oct. 15 and had been questionable to play in the Southeastern Conference rivalry. He warmed up Saturday and was introduced as a starter.
He then led the team on the field and was in his usual spot when Florida’s defense took the field.
A senior from Kingsland, Georgia, Davis did everything he could to be ready for his final Florida-Georgia game. He leads Florida with 48 tackles, including eight before getting hurt against the Tigers.
