(STATS) – The addition of a Sept. 8 home game against Mississippi Valley State has completed Jacksonville State’s 11-game 2018 schedule, which was announced Wednesday.
The Gamecocks will host five home games and aren’t playing an FBS opponent. They will seek to become the first program to win five straight Ohio Valley Conference titles.
Highlighting the schedule are an Aug. 25 season opener against MEAC champ North Carolina A&T in the FCS Kickoff in Montgomery, Alabama; a Homecoming game against Austin Peay on Sept. 29; and a Nov. 17 regular-season finale against Big South champ Kennesaw State in Atlanta.
Jacksonville State’s 10-2 season was ended last year with a 17-7 loss to Kennesaw in the FCS playoff second round.
