(STATS) – Patriot League member Lafayette has chosen a unique way to honor military personnel when it plays at Army West Point on Saturday.
In honor of playing the Cadets as well as Veterans Day on Sunday, Lafayette players will have custom decals on their helmets, each depicting someone close to them who has served or is serving in a branch of the military. Each player supplied a photo that was incorporated into the “L” on the decal.
Lafayette (3-6) and Army (7-2) first met in 1893. This will be 20th all-time meeting, all at West Point.
