Missouri Valley power UNI to host five in 2018

(STATS) – The addition of a Sept. 22 home matchup against Hampton completed Northern Iowa’s 11-game 2018 schedule Monday.

The non-conference game is one of five scheduled for the UNI-Dome. The other four are Missouri Valley Football Conference matchups against defending FCS champion North Dakota State (Oct. 6), South Dakota State (Oct. 20, Homecoming), Illinois State (Nov. 3) and Missouri State (Nov. 17).

UNI will open coach Mark Farley’s 18th season on Sept. 1 at Montana followed by a trip to Iowa on Sept. 15. The Panthers reached the second round of the playoffs before finishing 8-5 and ranked 17th in the STATS FCS Top 25 last season.
