Montana player dead from apparent suicide

(STATS) – A University of Montana football player was found dead in his Missoula home from an apparent suicide Tuesday.

The Missoulian newspaper said police are investigating Andrew Harris’ death as a suicide. The native of Kalispell, Montana, was 22.

Harris competed in eight games at defensive end during his redshirt junior season in 2018.

In a statement, the university said, “The University of Montana is deeply saddened to learn of the loss of one its students, Andrew Harris. Harris was a senior majoring in business management from Kalispell, Mont. He graduated in 2015 from Glacier High School and was a member of the Grizzly football team.”
