(STATS) – Samford has signed coach Chris Hatcher to a five-year contract extension through the 2023 season, athletic director Martin Newton announced Wednesday.
Hatcher has posted a 27-19 record, including 19-12 in the Southern Conference, through his first four seasons at Samford. His Bulldogs finished 6-5 this past season as quarterback Devlin Hodges became the FCS all-time passing yardage leader and won the 2018 STATS FCS Walter Payton Award as the national offensive player of the year.
He has a 148-76 career record, including stints at Valdosta State, Georgia Southern and Murray State.
