Eastern Kentucky: 49-17 win over Western Carolina
Eastern Kentucky (3-6) rolled to a win in the inaugural Opportunity Bowl, racking up 590 offensive yards – the Colonels’ highest total since gaining 629 against Tennessee Tech on Oct. 8, 2015. They went ahead for good, 14-10, on Davion Ross’ 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter and then put the game away with three touchdowns in a 3-minute, 17-second span early in the fourth, with running back Alonzo Booth’s third of four touchdowns sandwiched between wide receiver Jackson Beerman throwing for a 63-yard touchdown to Jacquez Jones and catching a 66-yard score from quarterback Isaiah Velez.

Alonzo Booth, Eastern Kentucky, RB, R-Jr., 6-2, 250, Columbus, Ohio
Booth set career highs with 178 rushing yards, 247 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns in the rout of Western Carolina. He posted his second straight and fifth career game over 100 rushing yards, averaging 6.6 yards on 27 carries while scoring from 4, 6 and 28 yards out. He entered with 56 receiving yards in his first 27 games, but surpassed that total with a 69-yard catch for his first career touchdown reception.
