Boldin said on Saturday that Baltimore might have to do a restructuring of some sort, but to this point and his knowledge, the Ravens have not.

As for his future, Boldin told Schefter that he would speak with his family before he makes any decisions, but as far as he is concerned and knows, he is planning to play for Baltimore next season under the terms of his current contract.

Boldin is scheduled to earn $6 million in the coming season. He carries a $7.531 million salary-cap figure.

Fox Sports initially reported Saturday that Baltimore gave Boldin an ultimatum: Take a pay cut or get cut on Tuesday. USA Today Sports later reported that Boldin had rejected Baltimore’s offer but that the sides were still discussing the matter, and that Boldin is prepared to test free agency if Baltimore releases him.

ESPN and other media outlets have reported that the Ravens do want to reduce Boldin’s salary as they try to free cap space to retain free-agent linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.

The Ravens were expected to keep Boldin after the team didn’t have to use the franchise tag on quarterback Joe Flacco, who signed a six-year, $120.6 million deal.

In the playoffs, Boldin caught 22 passes for 380 yards receiving (95 yards per game) and four touchdowns. He has led Baltimore in receiving yards in each of the past three seasons since being traded from Arizona.

Boldin, 32, said last month that he would retire if he was cut by the Ravens. Since the Ravens won the Super Bowl, linebacker Ray Lewis and center Matt Birk have retired and Baltimore has released guard Bobbie Williams.

“I won’t play in another uniform,” Boldin said in an interview Friday on NBC Sports Radio. “We have a saying, once a Raven, always a Raven, and I’ll always be a Raven.”

Boldin, 32, has one year left on his four-year, $25 million deal, and is due $6 million next season. But money could be tight as six starters will become unrestricted free agents, including quarterback Joe Flacco, linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Paul Kruger, and safety Ed Reed.

“I think you go out and let your play speak for itself,” Boldin told NBC Sports Radio. “You deal with that if you have to, but, I think for me — I know for me — Baltimore is the only place I want to play.”

Boldin caught 65 passes for 921 yards and four touchdowns in 15 games this season, his third with Baltimore. Boldin caught six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens’ 34-31 Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers.

Joe Flacco’s resume hardly stacks up to Manning’s but he is the only quarterback in league history to win a playoff game in each of his first five seasons. He threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns against the Colts while compiling his highest passer rating (125.6) since the season opener. Veteran Anquan Boldin was his favorite target with five catches for 145 yards and a touchdown. Flacco struggled against Denver in Week 15, throwing a killer interception that was returned 98 yards for a TD to break the game open. Star RB Ray Rice was a non-factor in that game with only 38 yards on 12 carries. He also lost two fumbles in last week’s win. Rookie RB Bernard Pierce has taken on a bigger role and had his second 100-yard game in three weeks against the Colts. Baltimore allowed Denver to control the clock for 38 1/2 minutes in the first matchup.

Last time out for Baltimore, they were a 24-9 winner as they battled the Colts at home. The Ravens covered in the match as a 7.5-point favorite, while 33 combined points moved the game UNDER for totals bettors.

Manning had a rather pedestrian performance, throwing for a season-low 204 yards and one touchdown. He finished the season with back-to-back three-touchdown games, giving him 37 TDs vs. only 11 interceptions. Wideouts Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker each went over 1,000 yards and combined to catch 23 scoring passes. Knowshon Moreno, who took over for an injured Willis McGahee in the final six weeks, rushed for 115 yards and a score against Baltimore. Denver’s defense, led by the pass-rushing tandem of linebacker Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil, has peaked down the stretch and surrendered only 45 points in its final four games.

In their last action, Denver was a 38-3 winner at home against the Chiefs. They covered the 17-point spread as favorites, while the combined score (41) was profitable news for UNDER bettors.
