RENTON, Wash. (AP) Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers with a hamstring strain.

Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Friday that Sherman would be a game-time decision, but he sounded optimistic that Sherman would be able to play.

”He did well today. He practiced the whole practice today,” Carroll said. ”He missed a couple days to rest. We’ll see how he is tomorrow all the way to game day, but he looked really good.

”His attitude about being injured and whether he can play or not is so far off-the-charts courageous and determined, committed. … He looks like he can play and he looked good today.”

Officially, Sherman was limited in practice on Friday. He has started 91 straight games for Seattle dating back to the middle of the 2011 season, rarely even coming close to missing a game with an injury. The most pressing situation was an injured elbow sustained in the NFC Championship against the Green Bay Packers in January 2015. He finished that game and played two weeks later in the Super Bowl.

”We’re just being cautious with him,” defensive coordinator Kris Richard said. ”We’ll see whether or not he’s going to be available. I know he’s preparing as if he is and will be available.”

Richard wasn’t entertaining the thought that Sherman may not be able to play.

”I’m not even considering that. It’s never happened here,” Richard said.

Running back Thomas Rawls is set to make his season debut after missing the team’s opener in Green Bay with a high ankle sprain sustained during the preseason.

”We’re anxious to see him play,” Carroll said. ”And I’m hoping he has a really good, clear opportunity to get back in the flow of things, and he’s been such a fun player to watch and we’re really excited to see him back.”

Linebacker Terence Garvin is doubtful with a shoulder injury. Former 49ers linebacker Michael Wilhoite, who missed the opener with a calf injury, would start if Garvin is unable to play.

RENTON, Wash. (AP) The idea of going to Green Bay in December, with the expected cold temperatures and the likelihood of snow, might have caused issues in the past for the Seattle Seahawks.

Not anymore. Not after what the Seahawks experienced last January in Minnesota in the first round of the playoffs.

”You can’t get any worse than we had in Minnesota,” cornerback Richard Sherman said. ”Everything else is an oven compared to that.”

The experience during the NFC wild card game forever changed how the Seahawks view any sort of issues presented by the weather. Seattle’s 10-9 victory over the Vikings came in the third-coldest game in NFL history, a frigid minus-6 degrees, with wind chills in the minus-20s throughout that miserable day.

The scope of what’s cold and what players can put up with was completely altered after that experience. And it makes the forecast for Sunday in Green Bay pleasant by comparison. The forecast for Sunday calls for temperatures in the 20s and a chance of snow.

”We’re having a bullish approach to the whole thing, you really have to be tough-minded,” quarterback Russell Wilson said. ”We want a tough environment, we look forward to those types of situations and I’m hoping it’s coming down, I’m hoping it’s snowing. I’m hoping it’s kind of a downpour of snow. That would be great.”

The conditions Seattle played through in Minnesota will likely never be topped. Sherman’s most vivid memory was going out for pregame warmups and having his contact lenses freeze up. He had not put a visor on his facemask all season, but had one added before that game, trying to create a layer of protection between the cold and his contacts.

”People with beards had a really rough time. You spray water on yourself or drink water and any water on your beard is frozen, so you have to be aware of that,” Sherman said. ”After that you’re just kind of playing. Whatever you’ve got, however fast you can move, everybody is moving at about the same speed because nobody can go 100 percent because your body won’t function.”

Linebacker Bobby Wagner didn’t wear sleeves against Minnesota and won’t again against Green Bay. The toughest part for him was the time between the start of the game and when his body started to feel numb.

”As you play you get numb and then you don’t even feel it come second quarter. You just have to get to the numb part,” Wagner said.

Should snow fall on Sunday, it would be a first for many of Seattle’s players, Sherman being one of them. Coach Pete Carroll has plenty of experience in adverse conditions from his time as a coach in the AFC East with both New England and the New York Jets.

”We played in all the weather that you can imagine,” Carroll said. ”Never as cold as Minnesota last time out, but very messy weather and windy and all that kind of stuff. I feel very comfortable with it.”

NOTES: LB Mike Morgan (hip) was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report but Carroll said Morgan would dress for the game. Morgan returned from a stint on injured reserve last week against Carolina. … DE Damontre Moore (foot) will miss Sunday’s game with a ligament issue in his foot that flared up after going through a full practice Thursday. Moore has played well in limited action as part of a rotation on the defensive line.

DENTON, Wash. (AP) Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman is a huge Harry Potter fan.

So with Halloween looming, Sherman agreed to a request from his son. He donned a cape and grabbed a wand for his weekly media session, presenting a very authentic Harry Potter look.

His display came three days after the Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals played to a 6-6 tie in the desert that left Sherman dehydrated. Sherman acknowledged on Wednesday that ”five quarters of football is pretty tough, but Quidditch – the Beaters, the Chasers, trying to find the Golden Snitch – is tough.”

Summoning such terms from the Harry Potter books earned the Seahawks at least one new fan. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling wrote in a post Thursday: ”Did I ever mention that I’m a (hash)Seahawks fan? Well, I am.”

Well, not quite.

She added: ”(Don’t ask me who plays for them apart from R Sherman.)”

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was fined $7,875 for unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting in the final minute of the NFC Championship Game against San Francisco.

Sherman’s fine was confirmed by the league Friday.

Sherman was flagged after he made a choking gesture toward the San Francisco bench that he said was directed at quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Sherman had just deflected a pass intended for Michael Crabtree in the end zone that was intercepted by linebacker Malcolm Smith and clinched Seattle’s 23-17 victory.

Sherman ran over, and after tapping Crabtree on the backside and extending his hand for a handshake. Crabtree then shoved Sherman in the face. The All-Pro cornerback then made the choking gesture.

Sherman was the only player fined in the game.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell already had shared his displeasure with Sherman’s postgame rant.

“No, I’m not cheering for that,” Goodell said on “CBS This Morning” on Thursday, referring to comments Sherman made. “(Sherman) is such a great young man. He is extremely well-spoken, does great things off the field, obviously a great player on the field. I want him to present himself in the best possible way and make sure that he is reflecting on himself and his family in a positive way.”

Immediately following the game, Sherman was interviewed on Fox Sports and was asked to describe the play.

“I’m the best corner in the game,” Sherman said, yelling. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you’re gonna get. Don’t you ever talk about me.”

Sherman then was asked who was talking about him.

“Crabtree,” he said. “Don’t you open your mouth about the best, or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”

Sherman said on Wednesday that his postgame comments Sunday were ”misdirected and immature,” but he is not a villain or a thug.

The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to trade wide receiver Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks, sources confirmed to ESPN.

The trade is expected to include the Seahawks’ 2013 first-round draft choice being sent to the Vikings, sources told ESPN.

It also is contingent on Harvin agreeing to a new contract, which is expected to be finalized in the next 48 hours.

The trade agreement, contingent on Harvin passing a physical, was earlier reported by Fox Sports.

Harvin is scheduled to fly to Seattle on Monday night and will undergo his physical in next 24 hours, a source said.

The trade cannot be officially completed until Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, when the 2013 league year officially begins.

Seattle has a connection to Harvin. The team’s offensive coordinator, Darrell Bevell, held the same job with Minnesota when the Vikings drafted Harvin in 2009. Harvin also will be reunited with receiver Sidney Rice, who was his one-time teammate in Minnesota.

Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman posted a message on Twitter, welcoming Harvin to the team.

“Welcome to the Team bruh @Percy_Harvin … Happy to have ya,” he wrote.

When asked about the trade, Seahawks receiver Golden Tate, whose spot on the Seahawks’ depth chart will be altered with the addition of Harvin, told Josina Anderson that “it’s a business.”

“The Seahawks are trying to do whatever they think is necessary to put together a Super Bowl quality team. If this is one of the steps they think works to accomplish that, then that’s their choice. I don’t think it will impact any of our work habits. We are still going to grind and let the cards play out the way that they will,” he said.

Last month at the scouting combine, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman insisted he had no intent to deal the receiver, who he called a “dynamic playmaker,” and said he wouldn’t even take phone calls about a trade.

Harvin, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract, badly sprained his left ankle on Nov. 4 at Seattle last season and didn’t play again. The Vikings placed him on season-ending injured reserve a month later.

Harvin made waves last summer when he expressed unhappiness with the organization and requested a trade. By the time training camp arrived, he had simmered down. He went home to Florida for his rehabilitation after he was placed on injured reserve, but coach Leslie Frazier downplayed his absence, noting that others have chosen to do the same.

He started last season playing like a Most Valuable Player award candidate, leading the league in total yards (receiving, rushing and returning) through nine games in 2012 until he was hurt.

Harvin still led the team in receptions (62) and yards receiving (677) despite playing barely half of a season, and he had a kickoff return for a touchdown as well as 96 yards rushing and one score on the ground.

The 24-year-old Harvin has 7,168 all-purpose yards in his four-season career with 29 touchdowns (20 receiving, five return, four rushing). He also has 280 receptions in 54 career games.

Vikings 2,000-yard man Adrian Peterson and Texans pass-swatting end J.J. Watt were unanimous choices for The Associated Press All-Pro team announced Saturday.

Peterson, who came within 9 yards of breaking Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record, and Watt, who led the NFL with 20 1/2 sacks, were selected by all 50 members of a nationwide panel of media members who cover the league.

Peterson is a three-time All-Pro, while Watt represents lots of new blood. He’s among 17 players making their All-Pro debuts.

“Obviously it’s a huge honor, especially for being such a young guy,” said Watt, a second-year pro. “It’s crazy to even think about. It’s very humbling and very motivating. It makes me want to do it again and again.”

Peyton Manning made his sixth team, the previous five while quarterbacking Indianapolis. He led Denver to the AFC’s best record, 13-3.

Also chosen for the sixth time was Atlanta tight end Tony Gonzalez, who this season moved into second place on the career receptions list. San Francisco linebacker Patrick Willis made it for the fifth time in his six pro seasons.

The 49ers had the most All-Pros, six: Willis, fellow LBs NaVorro Bowman and Aldon Smith, guard Mike Iupati, safety Dashon Goldson and punter Andy Lee.

“As an organization, we take great pride in the success and recognition of our players,” 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said. “This type of acknowledgement only comes from hard work and a team-first mentality, which all six of these men exhibit on a daily basis. They play the game the way it was meant to be played, and are very deserving of this honor.”

Seattle was next with RB Marshawn Lynch, center Max Unger, cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas. All were selected for the first time.

Sherman was incensed when he didn’t make the Pro Bowl. He was thrilled with the news he made the All-Pro team “because that’s comparing the whole league.”

” That is taking individuals and saying they are the best in the NFL at that position and that’s what I wanted to be,” Sherman said. ” The Pro Bowl is taking three from each side, it’s more of a popularity contest. The All-Pro, you’re the best at your position. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fifth-rounder or fourth-rounder or undrafted. If you play the best, you’re All-Pro.”

Denver had three All-Pros: LB Von Miller, tackle Ryan Clady and Manning. No other team had more than two.

The NFC had 17 players and only 10 made it from the AFC.

One rookie, Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh, was chosen.

Also on offense were Baltimore fullback Vonta Leach, making it for the third straight year; Detroit WR Calvin Johnson and Chicago WR Brandon Marshall; Houston tackle Duane Brown; New Orleans guard Jahri Evans, making his fourth consecutive appearance; Baltimore kick returner Jacoby Jones; Miami DE Cameron Wake; Cincinnati DT Geno Atkins and New England DT Vince Wilfork; and Chicago CB Charles Tillman.
