nthony returned to the floor Monday night for the New York Knicks after missing the previous three games with soreness in his right knee. He struggled in a 92-63 loss at Golden State, missing 11 of 15 shots in 34 minutes and finishing with 14 points.

Anthony told reporters in Oakland, Calif., after the game that his knee affected his play.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be 100 percent, to be honest with you, but I will play,” he said.

Anthony has been dealing with stiffness in the back of his right knee for several weeks due to a buildup of fluid. An MRI taken in February revealed no structural damage. The Knicks’ medical staff had hoped that rest would help the fluid dissipate.

Anthony, the NBA’s second-leading scorer, sat out for six days after aggravating the injury on March 4 against Cleveland but still feels discomfort. He told reporters on Monday that he hasn’t received a definitive diagnosis.

“Nobody can really give me an exact answer on it,” said Anthony, who returns to Denver on Wednesday for the first time since the Nuggets traded him to the Knicks in 2012. “There’s no pain, no ligament damage or anything like that. There’s just some fluid in the back of the knee that’s preventing me from hyperextending my knee sometimes.”

Anthony’s isn’t the only health issue that the Knicks (38-23) are trying to get a handle on. The team announced that power forward Amar’e Stoudemire underwent right knee surgery to remove debris on Monday and is is expected to miss approximately six weeks.

Stoudemire’s absence makes Anthony’s health all the more important for the Knicks. New York is tied with Indiana for second place in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks have four games remaining on their current, season-high five-game road trip.

Six days after initially telling local reporters exactly that, Spielman came to the NFL’s annual scouting combine and was asked to address the situation again. He hasn’t budged.

Spielman says he has no intent to deal the receiver he calls a “dynamic playmaker,” and won’t even take phone calls about it. He intends to keep all information about contract negotiations internal, too, as he describes.

There has been speculation the Vikings might deal Harvin, whose contract is up after next season, or that Harvin may hold out to get a new, richer contract.

The players’ association announced that electronic voting will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday ET and will last until 8 a.m. Saturday. The union said it will announce the result after voting is finished.

If a majority of the more than 700 players choose to accept the deal that NHL owners unanimously ratified on Wednesday, training camps will open Sunday, and a 48-game regular season will begin Jan. 19.

A tentative agreement was reached early Sunday, the 113th day of the lockout, after a 16-hour negotiating session in New York.

The new deal is for 10 years, but either side can opt out after eight. The previous collective bargaining agreement was in effect for seven seasons.

The lockout began on Sept. 16, and forced the cancellation of 510 games, beginning with opening day on Oct. 11. The outdoor Winter Classic and the All-Star Game were also wiped out this season.

The NHL says it will release a new schedule once the ratification process is completed.

A memorandum of understanding that has been in the drafting process by the two sides this week must be signed before training camps open.

The players’ association wanted as much of the document as possible to be completed before voting began.

Leading up to Thursday’s start time for voting, the union has been busy calling players and agents to educate them about the changes and additions to the tentative agreement.

Assuming the deal is approved by the players, as expected, there will be only six days between the opening of camps and the start of the season. No preseason games will be played.

After a round of small-group meetings Wednesday morning — held mainly to discuss pension issues — the union returned to league offices shortly before 3 p.m. ET to deliver its latest proposal. It was the fourth proposal made between the two sides in the past six days.

The meeting, which included several players, lasted approximately one hour.

The two sides expect to reconvene Wednesday evening, NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr said. According to a source, the next meeting is set tentatively for 8 p.m. ET.

Fehr declined to comment on whether the NHLPA will file a disclaimer of interest, which would dissolve the union, although the executive board will hold a conference call on the matter at some point Wednesday night.

The players have until midnight Wednesday to decide whether to dissolve the NHLPA, thereby nullifying its right to collectively bargain as a union.

With little details emerging from the information exchange between the sides, the NHLPA’s decision will provide the best glimpse at where negotiations stand.

A vote to disclaim interest would have a significant impact on negotiations — possibly derailing them altogether — and would be a sign the two sides are not as close as many had hoped.

Should it let the deadline pass, it is possible the union believes it can reach a deal.

The league already has canceled all games through Jan. 14, and the deadline to salvage the season is looming. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said a deal would need to be reached by Jan. 11 in order for a 48-game season to be possible.
