EAGAN, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Sean Mannion and ex-Denver Broncos wide receiver Jordan Taylor.
Mannion will likely replace Trevor Siemian, who joined the New York Jets, as the primary backup to Kirk Cousins. Kyle Sloter will also be in the second-string mix. Mannion was a third-round draft pick by the Rams in 2015 from Oregon State. He was the primary backup to Jared Goff last season all the way through the Super Bowl.
Undrafted out of Rice in 2015, Taylor played in 26 games for Broncos and totaled 351 yards and two touchdowns. He was sidelined last year following double hip surgery.
The Vikings also announced Monday that safety Anthony Harris and tackle Rashod Hill, both restricted free agents, signed their contract tenders.
