ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) The Denver Broncos signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Dekoda Watson on Monday, adding a special teams ace who’s been in the NFL for six seasons.
Watson played for the Patriots last season and also has played for Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and Dallas. In 73 games, he’s had 82 tackles on defense and 39 on special teams.
Last season, Watson played in three regular-season games and both of New England’s playoff games, including its loss at Denver in the AFC championship.
He was a team captain at Florida State before being selected by the Buccaneers in the 2010 draft.
