LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) Nebraska forward Isaac Copeland is out for the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee early in the second half against Ohio State.
Copeland landed awkwardly after colliding with an Ohio State player under the Nebraska basket early in the second half of the Cornhuskers’ 70-60 loss Saturday. The injury was revealed in a MRI done after the game.
The senior from Raleigh, North Carolina, started the first 20 games. He averaged 14 points, 5.4 rebounds and one block per game. He has started all 53 games since arriving at Nebraska two seasons ago and, including his two-plus years at Georgetown, has totaled over 1,300 points and 600 rebounds.
