BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Nick Perkins scored 21 points, and Blake Hamilton had 11 assists and eight points as Buffalo routed Division III Nazareth 85-38 in their regular season home-opener on Thursday night.
The Bulls (2-1) bounced back from an 86-53 loss at Xavier on Monday. Buffalo heads back on the road for a season-long six-game stretch, starting at the Great Alaska Shootout on Wednesday.
Perkins shot 8 of 11 from the floor and had eight rebounds and four blocks. Hamilton finished 3-of-6 shooting and had three steals and two blocks.
Willie Conner added 15 points for Buffalo (2-1), which shot 59 percent from the field. Ikenna Smart and Quate McKinzie added nine points apiece.
Brendan Wind led Nazareth with 10 points. The Golden Flyers made just 16 of 61 field goals for 26-percent shooting. Josh Gillard scored nine points, all from 3-point range.
