ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) Moe Wagner is coming back to Michigan, while D.J. Wilson is staying in the NBA draft.
The Wolverines announced both decisions Wednesday. The two standouts said last month they were putting their names in the draft without hiring agents, but Wagner has now decided to withdraw and come back for his junior season.
The 6-foot-11 Wagner averaged 12.1 points per game as a sophomore . The 6-foot-10 Wilson, who also had two years of college eligibility left, averaged 11 points in 2016-17.
Wilson’s departure means Michigan loses three starters from the team that won the Big Ten Tournament and reached the Sweet 16 last season. Derrick Walton and Zak Irvin were seniors.
