CINCINNATI (AP) Xavier men’s basketball coach Chris Mack announced Thursday that senior guard Myles Davis has been suspended from the team indefinitely, the result of misdemeanor criminal damaging charges filed over incidents with his former girlfriend.
Myles averaged 10.8 points last season for the Musketeers, who finished ninth in The Associated Press’ final poll. He averaged 4.1 assists and was second in the conference with an 85.4 percent free throw mark. He shot 38.1 percent from 3-point range, averaging 1.9 3s per game.
”Myles Davis is suspended indefinitely from all basketball related activities,” Mack said. ”Playing basketball for Xavier is a privilege and we have high expectations for how our student-athletes represent our university. Unless Myles meets those expectations he will not be a part of our program.”
Xavier will not have any further comment until there is a change in Myles’ status.
