Charleston Southern to kick off 2018 season at Florida

(STATS) – A season-opening game at Florida and five home games help to highlight Charleston Southern’s 11-game 2018 schedule which was announced Wednesday.

The Buccaneers enter coach Mark Tucker’s second season off a 6-5 record.

The Sept. 1 game against Florida in Gainesville is the second between the two programs. The Gators won their 2009 matchup.

At Buccaneer Field, Charleston Southern will host Elon (Sept. 22) and Virginia-Lynchburg (Oct. 13) out of conference and Presbyterian (Oct. 20), Kennesaw State (Oct. 27) and Gardner-Webb (Nov. 10) in the Big South Conference.
