Indiana loses WR Harris to season-ending knee injury

CHICAGO (AP) Indiana wide receiver J-Shun Harris II will miss the season with a torn knee ligament.

Harris was the Hoosiers’ leading returning receiver with 18 catches for 168 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman. Indiana coach Kevin Wilson also said Thursday during Big Ten media days that junior college transfer Camion Patrick has not yet been declared eligible to play.

Harris’ injury leaves Dominque Booth, who caught seven passes for 70 yards as a freshman, as Indiana’s leading returning receiver.

The Hoosiers also lost their leading returning tackler in the offseason when safety Antonio Allen was dismissed from the team after being arrested for dealing drugs.
