(STATS) – Nicholls will try to build off a Southland Conference title and an FCS playoff appearance during its 12-game schedule announced on Tuesday.
The Colonels went 9-4 last season, sharing the Southland title with Incarnate Word and earning a first-round playoff win over San Diego. They had a No. 14 ranking in the final STATS FCS Top 25.
One year after beating Kansas, Nicholls will open the new season with an Aug. 31 visit to Kansas State. It will be the first of four straight road games, including a second FBS game at Texas State (Sept. 28).
The Colonels will play five home games within the Southland against Central Arkansas (Oct. 5), Northwestern State (Oct. 12), Abilene Christian (Oct. 26), Houston Baptist (Nov. 9) and McNeese (Nov. 16).
