Here are some things to watch in Week 7 of the Pac-12 Conference football season:
GAME OF THE WEEK: No. 7 Washington at No. 17 Oregon. The Ducks (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) had an 11-game winning streak over the Huskies (5-1, 3-0) until the past two years as Washington outscored them 108-24. QB Jake Browning is 13th in the conference record books with 10,612 career passing yards. He needs 185 yards to move into the top 10. This is the first time Oregon has faced three straight ranked opponents while they have been ranked. Oregon QB Justin Herbert has thrown a TD pass in 20 consecutive games
MATCHUP OF THE WEEK: No. 19 Colorado at USC. In a game that is expected to establish the team to beat in the South Division, the Buffaloes (5-0) are 2-0 in the Pac-12 for the first time since 2010. QB Steven Montez is 10th in the nation in passing efficiency (174.2). The Trojans (3-2, 2-1) have won 18 straight at home, including 13 straight at home against conference foes. They are 57-7-1 since 1955 following a bye week.
NUMBERS GAME: Stanford, Washington State, Arizona State and Oregon State have a bye week. … UCLA remains one of nine teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision who has converted all of its opportunities in the red zone. … Utah’s Jaylon Johnson, who was the Pac-12 defensive player of the week, is the first Ute since 1994 to return an interception 100 yards for a touchdown. Johnson was one of three Pac-12 players to return an interception for a touchdown last week.
UPSET WATCH: UCLA at California. The Bears are 7 1/2-point home favorites over the Bruins, who have been competitive in losses to Colorado and Washington.
IMPACT PERFORMER: Laviska Shenault, Colorado. The sophomore wide receiver is the first player in school history to score multiple touchdowns rushing and receiving in the same game. He had two touchdowns receiving and two rushing in last week’s win over Arizona State. He also is the fifth receiver in conference history to be named offensive player of the week twice in the same season.
