NEW YORK (AP) – A person familiar with Major League Baseball’s plans tells The Associated Press that Commissioner Rob Manfred intends to announce Monday that Washington’s Nationals Park will host the 2018 All-Star Game.
The person spoke Sunday on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the site of the game before the announcement.
Washington would be the fourth consecutive National League team to host baseball’s All-Star Game, following the Cincinnati Reds this year, the San Diego Padres in 2016 and the Miami Marlins in 2017.
