Bulls continue on winning path, beat Utah 85-77

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Chicago used scoring spurts in the third and fourth quarters to secure an 85-77 win at Utah on Thursday, extending the Bulls’ winning run to four games.

Elsewhere, Houston’s James Harden had a triple double in a victory over Portland, and Miami snapped a six-game losing sequence with an emphatic win against Milwaukee.

Chicago used a couple of 9-0 bursts in the second half to keep the Jazz at bay, and while the hosts got within five points late, Dwyane Wade (18 points) and Jimmy Butler (20 points and 12 rebounds) hit jump shots to seal the result.

Rudy Gobert finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds for Utah.

Houston’s Harden had 26 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds for his third triple-double of the season, powering the Rockets past Portland 126-109.

Harden completed the triple-double in the third quarter for the Bulls, who saw starting point guard Patrick Beverley make his first appearance of the season following knee surgery.

C.J. McCollum led Portland with 26 points.

Miami ended its longest losing skid in eight years by beating Milwaukee 96-73.

Dion Waiters scored 23 points and Josh Richardson added 18 points for the Heat, who padded the margin with a 29-11 fourth quarter.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Tony Snell each had 14 points for the Bucks.

Washington’s John Wall had 23 points and 11 assists as the Wizards defeated New York 119-112.

Minnesota’s Andrew Wiggins had 35 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Timberwolves past Philadelphia 110-86.
