Draft prospect Rashad Vaughn returns to Minn. for 2 workouts

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – NBA draft prospect Rashad Vaughn has returned home to Minneapolis for a pair of workouts this weekend, one with the Minnesota Timberwolves and another with the Atlanta Hawks.

Vaughn starred at Robbinsdale Cooper High School in suburban Minneapolis before playing last year at UNLV. He is projected to be drafted late in the first round on June 25. He will work out for the Hawks on Saturday and the Wolves on Monday.

Vaughn has been crisscrossing the country working out for various teams over the last month. But he still found time to make an appearance at the Ronald McDonald House on Friday to play basketball with children who are being treated for serious illnesses.

Vaughn says he first experienced the Ronald McDonald House when he was a McDonald’s All-American in high school.
