INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indiana Pacers and St. Vincent, a local health provider, have released more details plans for a $50 million training facility in downtown Indianapolis.
At a news conference Wednesday, team officials showed what the 130,000-square foot St. Vincent Center will look like. The five-story building will be built on a pie-shaped space on Delaware Street, across the street from Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the Pacers home court, and will include two NBA regulation-sized courts along with office and retail space.
The Capital Improvement Board unanimously approved the deal Monday.
A medical facility inside the building will provide primary care, cardiovascular and sports performance services for athletes and the general public. The Pacers will wear the St. Vincent logo on their practice jerseys.
Team officials hope construction is completed within two years.
