Bills sign kicker Hauschka to 2-year contract extension

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) The Buffalo Bills have signed kicker Stephen Hauschka to a two-year contract extension.

Hauschka was entering the final season of the three-year contract he signed in free agency in 2017. And the new deal signed Wednesday extends his contract through the 2021.

The 34-year-old has 11 seasons of NFL experience and has converted 86.4 percent of his field goal attempts, which currently places him seventh on the NFL list.

He hit 17 consecutive field goals last season to mark the team’s best stretch since Rian Lindell made 18 straight in 2007. Hauschka finished hitting 22 of 28 field goal attempts, including all 11 from within 40 yards, but struggled down the stretch in missing five of his final 11 attempts.

Hauschka signed with Buffalo after spending six seasons with Seattle. He also had stops in Baltimore, Atlanta and Denver.
