The Washington Wizards continue to search for answers to an ugly start to their season, which now includes a six-game road losing streak. They will try to snap that slide away from home when they finish a three-game trip at the Miami Heat on Saturday.

Opponents have scored an average of 123.2 points during Washington’s six straight road losses after the struggling club was defeated 117-108 at Orlando on Friday, and players are wondering if and when the turnaround is coming. “When you have the type of playoff success year after year, you kind of lull into the season,” veteran Jeff Green told reporters of the Wizards possibly taking things for granted. “You become a little lackadaisical until you get punched in the mouth. … We’ve been punched in the mouth a couple times. Now we have to start fighting back, start punching back.” The Heat delivered one of those punches with a 113-112 win at Washington on Oct. 18. They are just 4-5 since then after dropping a 110-102 decision to Indiana on Friday.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, NBCS Washington, FS Sun (Miami)

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (2-9): Bradley Beal scored 27 points in Friday’s loss for his ninth game of 20 or more. John Wall added 19 points and 12 assists for Washington, which led by 11 points less than three minutes into the game but still found a way to trail by 15 at halftime. “We’re doing it in bits and pieces, but this is a 48-minute league,” coach Scott Brooks told reporters. “You gotta do it throughout the game. We haven’t figured that part out.”

ABOUT THE HEAT (5-6): Point guard Goran Dragic has missed two straight games with a knee issue but hopes to be back in the lineup Saturday. Kelly Olynyk led the way against the Pacers with 20 points while Hassan Whiteside added 11 points and 20 rebounds for Miami, which made 14-of-27 3-pointers. Josh Richardson, who scored 28 points in the win at Washington last month, is 12-for-39 from the floor with eight turnovers over the last two games.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Heat SF Rodney McGruder has gone 3-for-3 from 3-point range twice in the past eight games.

2. Wizards C Dwight Howard is 20-for-30 from the floor in four games since returning from a buttocks injury.

3. Whiteside has exactly 20 boards in each of his last two contests.

PREDICTION: Heat 111, Wizards 105
