Bears’ Long, Sitton out for Vikings game because of injuries

CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Bears are holding star right guard Kyle Long and left guard Josh Sitton out of their game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Long, a three-time Pro Bowl lineman, was listed as doubtful after exiting last week’s loss to Green Bay because of a strained triceps. Sitton missed his second consecutive game because of an ankle injury. Ted Larsen started at right guard and Eric Kush at left guard on Monday night.

Vikings receiver/kickoff returner Cordarrelle Patterson was active after being listed as questionable because of a concussion.

Matt Asiata started at running back with Jerick McKinnon sidelined by an ankle injury. Minnesota was also missing strong safety Andrew Sendejo (ankle). Jayron Kearse started in his place.
