CLEVELAND (AP) Odell Beckham Jr. and Kareem Hunt made their unofficial FirstEnergy Stadium debuts Saturday as members of the Cleveland Browns.
Former Giants wide receiver Beckham and ex-Chiefs running back Hunt took part in the intrasquad Orange and Brown Scrimmage in front of more than 15,000 fans. Both players were acquired in the offseason.
Beckham caught passes from Baker Mayfield on the first two snaps of full-team action, while Hunt logged his initial on-field work after missing the first eight training camp practices with a groin injury.
First-year coach Freddie Kitchens modified the format of the annual event by running only a handful of 11-on-11 plays. He held a typical camp practice in an NFL stadium, including field goal-kicking drills.
Cleveland hosts the Washington Redskins in its preseason opener Thursday.
