COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) Los Angeles Chargers rookie offensive lineman Forrest Lamp has been taken off the field on a cart with an apparent knee injury during practice at training camp.
Lamp was injured Wednesday in the Chargers’ fourth workout of camp.
Chargers coach Anthony Lynn had no immediate updates on the condition of Lamp, a second-round pick out of Western Kentucky.
Lamp is expected to play guard for Los Angeles. He was the Hilltoppers’ starting left tackle for nearly every game of his four-year college career.
Along with third-round pick Dan Feeney and free-agent signee Russell Okung, Lamp is a key factor in the rebuild of the Chargers’ offensive line after a rough season in 2016.
