INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – After getting Andrew Luck more help on the first day of the draft, the Indianapolis Colts spent the final two days leaning heavily on defense.
Now they’ll find out if they’ve done to find the missing pieces for their Super Bowl puzzle.
Indy used three of Saturday’s five picks on defensive players. They opened the day by taking safety Clayton Geathers in the fourth round to fill their most glaring need. General manager Ryan Grigson also traded up to get Stanford nose tackle David Parry, the fourth straight defensive guy he took.
Indy finished the weekend by taking Mississippi State running back Josh Robinson and Georgia linebacker Amarlo Harris in Round 6 before using the final pick on offensive lineman Denzelle Good.
