ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank says he’s sticking with general manager Thomas Dimitroff.
Blank says there will be changes in the Falcons’ pro personnel and college scouting departments following an 8-8 season. However, he says Dimitroff has formed ”a productive working relationship” with first-year coach Dan Quinn. Blank also says Scott Pioli will continue as assistant general manager.
Blank said Friday in a statement released by the team the decision follows ”an exhaustive review of every area of our team” over the last week. Blank says he believes maintaining continuity with Quinn and Dimitroff is the right decision for the team.
Dimitroff was retained one year ago when coach Mike Smith was fired. Quinn was given the final say in all football operations matters, including the draft.
