Chicago Bears offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb faces drug charges, according to a report from CBS television station KFVS.
Arrested in Pulaski County, Ill., on Sunday evening, Webb was charged with possession of a controlled substance, cannabis and paraphernalia, according to a report, which added the offensive tackle paid $500 of a $5,000 bond on Monday before he was released.
Webb is set to go to court to face the charges in March.
Pulaski County sheriff Randy Kern didn’t immediately return calls. The Bears, meanwhile, said they are aware of the arrest.
“We are continuing to look into the facts surrounding the situation,” said a Bears spokesman.
