Hurricanes reach 2-way deals with 4 restricted free agents

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) The Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to terms with four of their restricted free agents to one-year, two-way contracts.

General manager Ron Francis on Thursday announced the deals with forwards Brendan Woods and Brody Sutter and defensemen Dennis Robertson and Keegan Lowe.

The deals leave defenseman Ryan Murphy as the Hurricanes’ only unsigned restricted free agent.

Lowe’s contract will be worth $750,000 at the NHL level while Robertson and Woods each will earn $650,000 and Sutter will be paid $600,000. In the minor leagues, Sutter will make $115,000 while Lowe and Woods will earn $80,000 apiece and Robertson will make $75,000.

Lowe, Woods and Sutter combined to skate in 15 games with the Hurricanes last season.
