CHICAGO (AP) New York Rangers forward Matt Beleskey has been assigned to Hartford of the American Hockey League after clearing waivers.
Beleskey has appeared in just one game with New York since he was acquired in the February trade that sent Rick Nash to Boston.
The Rangers announced the move before their game at Chicago on Thursday night.
The 30-year-old Beleskey, a fourth-round pick by Anaheim in the 2006 draft, has 75 goals and 82 assists in 473 NHL games.
