Ryan double gives Senators win at St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (AP) Ottawa’s Bobby Ryan scored twice, including the overtime winner, to lift the Senators to a 3-2 win at St. Louis, dropping the Blues further off the pace in the NHL Central Division.

The Blues have lost three straight and are nine points behind Central leader Dallas, with the Stars having a game in hand.

Elsewhere, Jarome Iginla scored his 600th career goal as Colorado defeated Los Angeles, and Detroit won a tight game at New Jersey.

Ottawa’s Mike Hoffman scored and Andrew Hammond made 36 saves for the Senators, who had been held goalless in their previous two games.

Troy Brouwer and Kevin Shattenkirk scored for St. Louis.

Colorado’s Iginla became the 19th member of the 600-goal club as the Avalanche beat Los Angeles 4-1.

In a third-period power play, Iginla sent a wrist shot toward the net that hit off the skate of a defenseman and bounced past goalie Jhonas Enroth. Iginla was mobbed by teammates near the glass and then he saluted the crowd during an extended standing ovation.

Defenseman Tyson Barrie added two goals and two assists, while Matt Duchene also scored for the Avalanche.

Tyler Toffoli scored the sole goal for the Kings, who came into the game on a five-game winning streak.

Detroit’s Dylan Larkin scored on a breakaway for the only goal as the Red Wings won 1-0 at New Jersey.

Larkin scored on a nifty backhander to polish off the breakaway at 9:20 of the first period.

Petr Mrazek made that stand up as he made 22 saves to earn his second shutout of the season.

Arizona veteran Shane Doan scored twice to lead the Coyotes to a 3-2 win against Pacific Division-rival Vancouver.

Edmonton’s Andrej Sekera scored in overtime after a goalless regulation, giving the Oilers a 1-0 victory over Carolina.
