GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Montreal Canadiens have traded forward Christian Thomas to the Arizona Coyotes for forward Lucas Lessio.
The 23-year-old Thomas had two assists in five games with Montreal this season. He also had seven goals and seven assists in 18 games with St. John’s of the AHL.
Thomas has played 18 career games with the Canadiens, with one assist and 7 penalty minutes.
The 22-year-old Lessio has two goals and three assists in 29 career games with the Coyotes.
