ABOUT THE HURRICANES (6-6-2): Carolina’s goaltender carousel is expected to turn to either Scott Darling or Curtis McElhinney after fellow netminder Petr Mrazek was unable to practice on Monday due to the lower-body injury he sustained during Friday’s 4-3 overtime loss at Arizona. “I just talked to (Mrazek), and he said he’s feeling better,” Brind’Amour told the media. “I know Petr is not ready to play, but the other two guys are.” Darling has yielded three goals in losses to both Boston (Oct. 30) and Vegas while McElhinney owns a 3-1-0 mark – although his last game action came on Oct. 20 in a 3-1 setback against Colorado.

ABOUT THE BLUES (4-5-3): Ryan O’Reilly tallied against the Wild to give him four goals and eight assists during his seven-game point streak, which is one shy of matching his career best that he set on two different occasions. Vladimir Tarasenko set up O’Reilly on Saturday to give him four goals and one assist in the first four contests of the season-high seven-game homestand. The 26-year-old Russian has also recorded at least one point in four straight encounters with Carolina, registering one goal and four assists in the span.
